Granular RBAC Now Generally Available

Granular RBAC is officially live and available for all organizations. This release brings greater flexibility, clearer permissions management, and more intuitive role structures.

What’s New

• Updated UI in Settings.

• Organization Members renamed to User Management.

• New Role Detail pages to view permissions for each role.

• Multi-role assignments via group roles (All plans).

• A new default role set is available to all customers.

Limitations / Callouts

• Enterprise Only: Custom roles are available but must be configured by the SafeBase Solutions Architecture team (not yet self-service). You can reach out via the support chat in the lower right corner when logged into SafeBase to request support in configuring these roles. 

• Existing customers will see:

  • The new default roles

  • Any custom roles

  • Old default roles labeled as (Legacy)

    • Note: SafeBase will gradually clean up unused legacy roles over time.

• New customers will receive only the new default role set going forward.

• Legacy file-download permission controls remain for compatibility.
