Internal Audits Now Fully Supported

This feature is available in the New Drata Experience.

Organizations can now create, manage, and complete internal audits directly within Drata.

Why It Matters

Previously, internal audits had to be managed outside the platform. As a result:

• Internal audit teams relied on spreadsheets or third-party tools.

• Enterprise organizations requiring formal internal audit programs faced workflow gaps.

• Customers performing recurring internal audits experienced additional operational overhead.

This release enables teams to centralize internal audit workflows within Drata.

What’s New

• Internal Audit option added to the Create Audit flow.

• New Internal Auditor role with dedicated RBAC permissions.

• Internal Auditors can create and manage requests for audits they’re assigned to.

• Admins assigned to the audit can upload evidence directly to requests.
