Control Reset for Policy Mappings
You can now compare and apply Drata’s default policy mappings for any control—directly from the control itself. Whether you're starting fresh, cleaning up, or want to align with Drata’s recommended guidance, you can reset with confidence. To try it out, go to any control and select the Compare to defaults option within the Policies section.
When to Apply Drata’s Default Policy Mapping:
Customized mappings exist and a return to Drata’s recommended configuration is preferred.
Uncertainty about whether current mappings align with best practices and a comparison with Drata’s defaults is needed.
Accidental changes have been made and a reliable baseline is required for reset.
Important Notes:
Custom policies mapped to the control will be preserved. They won’t be removed.
Custom controls do not have Drata default policy mappings, so reset does not apply.
