Most Requested Features
Closed Status for Risks
We're excited to introduce a new risk status: Closed. You can now categorize risks as Active, Closed, or Archived for better tracking. We've also added a Status column to the CSV downloads for All Risks and Filtered views.
MDM connections: MDM Auto-Unlink
For supported MDM systems (excluding Workspace One), Drata will automatically unlink devices from personnel whenever they are unlinked or deleted in the source MDM system. This automation streamlines your device management, ensuring records stay accurate and compliant across systems.
Monitoring Failure AI Summaries
Drata’s improved monitoring experience makes it easier and faster to identify, understand, and resolve test failures. Here’s what’s new:
AI Adaptive Automation Test Summaries: Gain AI-driven insights into why each resource failed, with downloadable summaries for efficient review.
Streamlined Test Failure Navigation: Quickly view key details for each account, including Provider, Account Alias/ID, Result, and a direct link to the event.

38 New AWS Tests and Monitoring UI Enhancements
38 New AWS Tests
We’ve added 38 new AWS tests, automating over 15 controls with a strong focus on CIS benchmarks for secure configurations. Each test includes a dedicated help article, and tests requiring extra permissions feature step-by-step guidance on adding those permissions to the DrataAutopilotRole. Learn more about our October 2024 AWS Test Release.
Note: These tests apply to customers with AWS or Org Units connections and at least one of these enabled controls: DCF-12, DCF-152, DCF-335, DCF-346, DCF-350, DCF-406, DCF-478, DCF-54, DCF-55, DCF-68, DCF-73, DCF-75, DCF-776, DCF-779, DCF-783, DCF-85, DCF-86, DCF-90, DCF-99.
Monitoring UI Updates
Newly released tests now display a “new” status in Monitoring, making them easier to spot. For tests that rely on specific connections, a new "Supported Connection" section in the test drawer outlines which connections are monitored and includes a button for you to navigate directly to connection setup if your Drata role has access. Explore our Monitoring article to learn more.
